孟加拉首都達卡市（Dhaka）鬧區一棟商業大樓7日下午發生爆炸，目前造成至少17人死亡，其中包括兩名婦女，另有超過140人受傷，死傷人數恐持續增加，而爆炸原因也仍在調查中。

新德里電視台（NDTV）報導，孟加拉當地時間7日下午4時50分（台灣時間6時50分）左右，達卡市（Dhaka）古里斯丹區（Gulistan）一棟5層的建築物內發生爆炸，旁邊的7層大樓也受波及。

當地消防單位表示，到目前為止他們已經找到16具屍體，但隨著救援行動的進行，傷亡人數可能會上升。最新消息指出，有一人在醫院因重傷不治身亡，使死亡人數增至17人。

有關當局正在調查爆炸原因，以釐清爆炸是由於蓄意破壞行為還是意外事故，而當地居民懷疑是建築物內非法儲存的化學品，引發爆炸，這棟建築物主要作為商辦混合之用。
