詹姆士岡恩在推特（Twitter）上寫道：「我願意捐10萬美元給川普最喜歡的慈善機構，只要他願意透過專業的醫療機構公布正確的數據，我們就這麼說好了，我是認真的。#減肥 #減肥運動」

「減肥運動」（girther movement）這個關鍵字源自於共和黨人當初發起的「出生地運動」（birther movement），他們懷疑歐巴馬並非在美國出生，因此不具備參選美國總統的資格。

隨後，詹姆士岡恩又在推特上貼出川普和MLB洛杉磯天使隊球員亞伯特普荷斯（Albert Pujols）的照片並寫道：「川普的醫療報告說他身高6呎3吋、體重239磅。亞伯特普荷斯身高6呎3吋（190.5公分）、體重240磅（109公斤）。如果（川普接受的）失智檢查準確程度跟這份報告一樣的話，那我們都完了。」
